Sanju Dangol: Weaving Dreams into Reality

My name is Sanju Dangol, and I live in Kirtipur Municipality, Ward No. 5. I am a proud trainee of the six-month skill development and handicraft bag-making training organized by the Women Empowerment Training Centre.

I first came to know about this program through Facebook. Eager to learn bag-making skills, I contacted the Centre, but the training had not started yet. I left my name and phone number, hoping for an opportunity. In the meantime, the Centre offered weaving training, which I enrolled in. A few months later, the bag-making training commenced, and I was thrilled to join.

Before this training, I was a homemaker, spending my days doing sewing and weaving at home. However, this training has exceeded all my expectations. It has not only taught us bag-making but also equipped us with essential skills like public speaking, time management, and teamwork. Additionally, we developed our own set of rules to follow during the program, fostering a sense of discipline and ownership.

The trainers and my fellow trainees are incredibly supportive and collaborative, making the learning experience enjoyable and engaging. Time flies when I’m at the Centre, and every session brings new insights and skills.

I am committed to staying connected with the Women Empowerment Training Centre even after completing the program. My goal is to continue practicing and perfecting the skills I’ve learned, paving my way to self-reliance and inspiring others in my community to follow their dreams.

This journey has been transformative, and I am excited to see what lies ahead. Thank you to the Centre and everyone who has been a part of this empowering experience!
